 Birds

Birds live on the surface of the earth. They have wings which permit most of them to fly in the air. They are covered with feathers which protect them from cold and rain. Most of birds build nests to lay their eggs in. Some birds live with man. He raises them for eating their meat and eggs, too. Chicken are the most common birds that live with him but he prefers canaries because they are very beautiful. But others like parrots because they can imitate people’s voices. Most of birds feed on grains, seeds, fruits and insects. Others feed on small animals.
